What a day. Colebridge top of Division 1 in NCL.
Nathaniel Saunders, Ben Rycroft-Stanley and Sophie Rinnhofer. They won all 5 games, 6-0, 5-1, 6-0, 5-1, 4-2. My guess is we are about 5 or 6 points clear based upon a couple of results I have. Updates will follow in the week.
Our B team, having also qualified for Division 1, were a bit up and down, but after we had a team talk at lunchtime they went out in the afternoon and beat Woodfield A 4-2 and Woodfield B 5-1. I’m still pinching myself. B team – Jack Simcox, Harry Simcox and Cyrus Harris. Cyrus Harris was sensational at times and is another to watch out for. He proficiently rallied with and beat some players who are ranked way above his current post.
In Division 2, our C team won their first 2 games 9-0 and 8-1. In Division 3, I put two new players in, Samuel Foster and Alex Setchell. Even our D team went out and won their first match 9-0. Sensational stuff. It didn’t stay that way, however our C and D teams both won 2 out of 3 matches.
C team: Luke Watson-Brown, Adam Stochlinski and Tom Hoskins.
D team: Thomas Martin, Samuel Foster, Alex Setchell.
We still have one more day in 4 weeks time but it’s looking very promising.
