Colebridges new Leamington League team got off to a good start with a hard earned draw against Rugby B. John Overton, Neil Wheatley and Mike Credland each beat Jo Outhwaite, but the 5 points were secured thanks to a 5 game win by Mike C. over Danny Orr, and Neil and Mike C’s 3-1 defeat of Orr and 14 year old top County cadet, Sam Cafearo in the doubles.
We had to concede that young Sam was ‘Man of the Match’ though, as none of us could match his speed and control from all parts of the court. He’s definitely one to watch in the future. Thanks too to Jo and Co for their hospitality.
