Craig Allen on point for treble gold

The Band A competition was also fiercely fought but Craig was able to dig deep and take a third gold medal.  On completing the hat trick Craig said “Today has really boosted my confidence and I am looking forward to playing in the Belgium Para Open at the end of the month.  When I get in tough matches I have to remember how I played today and how I managed to out play my opponents”.

 It was not once, not twice , but three times a champion for British Table Tennis Association For The Disabled player Craig Allen on Sunday 4th October at Halton Para Open.

Craig convincingly took the Gold medal in the Class 9/10 singles before taking a second gold medal with fellow player Tim Fields in the doubles.  Craig said “Tim and I have won gold together before but Tim is not my normal partner so we had to really focus on each game.  We had some tough opposition but out tactics paid off in the end”.
