Dean Hicks , the self styled Bulldog , of Colebridge Eagles , was resurgent yesterday evening with a positive hat trick against relegation haunted Hawks, joining him for a treble was his indefatigable canine cohort , The Rotweiler , aka Bernard Oliver .
This pair dropped only four sets all evening , against a determined Hawks side who were keen to secure points to avoid the dreaded drop.
It was not to be however , as Eagles inflicted a 9-1 away win.
John Cox got on the score card with a five set victory over Mike Evetts, and Mick Welsh was unlucky not to do so , falling in the 5th set to the same player.
Chris Welsh was nursing a bout of the highly serious man flu , and would perhaps hope to perform with more incision on another evening.
